Fact Check: NO Evidence Linking Sudden Deaths Of Czech Athlete, Slovak Singer To COVID Vaccines Recycled Claim

Is there any evidence linking the recent deaths of Slovak singer Barbara Hascakova and Czech athlete Martin Jindra to COVID-19 vaccines? No, that's not true: There is no publicly available evidence to support a claim that their deaths were caused by COVID vaccines.

The claim appeared in a video (archived here) on TikTok on December 8, 2023. The person in the video, who identifies himself as Robert Vasicek, gives examples of several recent deaths of younger people, including Hascakova and Jindra, adding that all of these sudden deaths were of people in "perfect health" and that their deaths were "linked to an experimental vaccine against Covid-19." He speaks in Czech and his statements were translated into English by Lead Stories staff. The text in the video (as translated) read:

..your heart may be in danger after a Covid-19 vaccination. 'Died suddenly' will be in the newspapers more and more often..

This is what the post looked like on TikTok at the time of writing:

There is no accessible evidence to substantiate the claim that the deaths of these two persons resulted from the COVID vaccine, or that they even received the vaccine.

Barbara Hascakova, a Slovak singer living in the United States for several years, passed away at age 43 on November 22, 2023, in Sarasota, Florida, as reported by the Slovak news agency TASR. She died of a stroke, according to Hascakova's brother, who was cited by TASR. The family also noted that she had been grappling with pancreatic issues in the period leading up to her death. TASR's article makes no reference to the COVID vaccine, and a Google search (archived here) using the Czech phrase "Haščáková Covid vakcína" yielded no relevant results.

Czech news sources covered the passing of Martin Jindra, a former prominent Czech volleyball player age 24, on December 7, 2023, here and here. A Google search using the phrase "Martin Jindra AND cause of death" (archived here) yielded no online articles offering details regarding the cause of his death at the time of writing, with most sources characterizing it simply as "tragic." A Google search (archived here) for the phrase "Martin Jindra Covid vakcína" yielded no relevant results on his vaccination status either.

The video's use of the term "died suddenly" is most likely a reference to the video "Died Suddenly" (archived here), released on Rumble on November 21, 2022. This video implies that the global elite harbors intentions to reduce the world's population through the use of the COVID vaccine. Numerous sources, including Lead Stories, have discredited it.

The assertion that the COVID vaccine has led to an increase in the sudden deaths of healthy athletes is also employed to promote anti-vaccination sentiments and has previously been debunked by Lead Stories here.
