Did the CEO of Pfizer, Albert Bourla, say the company's goal is to halve the global population by 2023? No, that's not true: The audio on the video from the World Economic Forum, in which Bourla was recorded speaking, has been altered and words omitted to present a false meaning.
The claim appeared in a video (archived here) on TikTok where it was published by @gergespeed on October 30, 2023, without a title. It opened:
I think it's the fullfilment of a dream which we had with our leader team when we were starting out in 2019. In our first meeting in January 2019 in California, where we met to set our goals for the next 5 years. One of them was to reduce the world's population by 50 percent. And I think it is becoming a reality.

The original recording of Bourla speaking in Davos in 2022 was edited. In reality, he said the company had a goal of reducing the number of people in the world who cannot afford Pfizer's medicine by 50 percent.
